I can't agree with you that men have no useful input on this topic. In each case it is the choice of the woman as to whether she wishes to carry a child to full term, but more generally it's a moral issue that should concern us all. Are you unable to comment about animal cruelty because you're not a dog or horse? I like a lot of what you have to say (not only in this post but across your whole blog) but I have to ask you to think about this one again. A foetus carrying half of my genes was aborted once. My girlfriend asked me what I thought, I told her, she listened, then made her mind up for herself. She didn't say "This has nothing to do with you, man!" She respected my opinion and understood that it concerned us both, but we both knew that the final decision was hers. Having been personally affected by this issue I would argue that my opinion of it is possibly more valid than that of a woman who has never conceived. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Sorry to be so negative, I could leave comments of warm approval on lots of your other posts but it probably wouldn't be very interesting.

Nice piece. I have never lived in the USA, but I know that there are some severe whackos who will kill people in the name of 'pro-life'...a rather obvious contradiction in terms. But of course I am a man, so that's all i'm saying.
